2025 Trends: 5 Things to Anticipate for Elevated Curb Appeal

The new year is around the corner and now is the perfect time to check out some of the incoming trends. Incorporating new door and hardware trends not only helps your home stay safe but allows you to find unique ways to personalize it as well. The 2025 predictions are in – from antique looks to bright and modern styles, find the right door hardware to include in your home.

  1. Antique looks. From wallpaper coming back to bronze and antique brass door hardware, sleek minimalism is out. Embed your personality in every detail of your home including the hardware throughout.
  1. Unique Hardware. Hardware is often an overlooked piece of decor that can make a huge difference when trying to accomplish a well-rounded aesthetic. In addition to bronze or brass accessories, combine it with creative hardware such as handles with a rounded end, knobs with intricate designs, or even unconventionally shaped handle sets.
  1. Mix and Match. Incorporate smaller designs that elevate the overall look. This includes investing in door knockers or doorbells that match with your door’s hardware. Bringing the pieces together for a well-thought out, cohesive look when welcoming guests to your home.
  1. Color, color, and more color. Colors have a large impact on how your home is perceived and its curb appeal. This even extends to your front door and what hardware you pair with it. When choosing a paint color and corresponding lockset, consider how the colors pair and if their undertones clash or not. For example, a bright yellow door may not look the best with a chrome gold lockset, but can be tastefully accentuated with a matte black or a muted nickel.
  • Mindful tech. Technology is expanding throughout the home, but people are finding ways to add it such that it doesn’t entirely take over. This includes electronic security systems, smart locks, and automatic shades for those who want to keep their home temperature controlled.

Whether you implement one or all these anticipated trends into your home for 2025, it is always important to consider small updates as each year passes. Your home will continue to stay fresh, while avoiding massive updates all at once.
